NWSL will stream games live through the Yahoo Sports app

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced a distribution deal with Yahoo Sports that will see all of its next season’s matches broadcast live through the media platform’s digital app.

The deal will allow U.S.-based viewers access to all games of the 2019 NWSL season, which kicks off April 13 when defending champions North Carolina Courage take on the Chicago Red Stars.

Every match will still be available on NWSLsoccer.com and on the NWSL app for fans outside the United States.

The move comes amid NWSL’s search for a traditional broadcast partner after A+E Networks announced in February that it had amicably ended its broadcast partnership, cutting short a year. a three-year agreement signed in 2017.
